For over 20 years, I have spent Thanksgiving in the kitchen with my grandmother, making teacakes and sweet potato pies. She never measured anything, so I’d always ask her to slow down so I could try to figure out the measurements. Those moments weren’t just about baking—they were about learning, laughing, and connecting.
Over the past decade, I’ve taken on the tradition myself, keeping her recipes and love for baking teacakes alive. Sweet Tradition is my way of honoring her and sharing a piece of our family with you.
